Trailer Park Boys Still Planning The Drunk and on Drugs Happy Fun-Time Hour

Last December, Canadian Channel Showcase aired the final episode of its long running hit sitcom Trailer Park Boys with a farewell special entitled Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys. But don't fret. Even though this will be the last time Ricky, Bubbles, and Julian grace the small screen, they will be back soon enough in their second feature length film Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day. This latest adventure will act as a direct follow-up to the series' ending calamity that saw all of the boys in jail at the end of Goodnight. In the film, Ricky, Julian, Bubbles, Sam Losco, Cyrus, and Ray are all plotting their revenge against Jim Lahey upon their release from prison. But this isn't the only trick these guys have up their sleeve. According to The Vancouver Sun, the three main actors will be returning to television soon enough with another all-new series.

Robb Wells (Ricky), Jean Paul Termbley (Julian) and Mike Smith (Bubbles) are currently in the process of writing this new sitcom. Wells told the Sun, "Tentatively, right now, it's called The Drunk and on Drugs Happy Fun-Time Hour. That's just a working title." The trio has already completed the first five scripts with the hopes of filming them soon. It will be a very black comedy, and the first season will run a total of seven episodes in total. It will most likely air sometime in the fall. But don't look for their signature characters to be making appearances. This time, the trio will be playing completely different, multiple roles.

You can look for this new series sometime later this year, or early 2010. Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day will hit theaters in September of 2009.

Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day was released September 25th, 2009 and stars Robb Wells, John Paul Tremblay, Mike Smith, John Dunsworth, Jonathan Torrens, Patrick Roach, Lucy Decoutere, Sarah Dunsworth. The film is directed by Mike Clattenburg.
