Toy Story 4 is in development according to Tom Hanks
Actor Tom Hanks is currently making the press rounds to promote his new movie Larry Crowne, which hits theaters on July 1. Earlier this morning, he made a surprising revelation that Pixar is currently working on Toy Story 4. Here's what he had to say below.

"I think there will be yeah. Yeah, yeah. They're working on it now. There you go."

Back in November, Toy Story 3 producer Darla K. Anderson said there were no plans to make Toy Story 4. The franchise will continue on through a new series of shorts. The first short, Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation, was attached to prints of Cars 2.

Pixar has not confirmed Tom Hanks' statement about Toy Story 4 at this time. You can Click Here! to watch the video interview with Tom Hanks.

oh come on the first 3 were great but a 4th movie isn't needed

The third ended perfectly. This would only tarnish the series, however, I am open to the continuation of the shorts. Pixar should have parted ways with Disney a while back when they had the chance... they would have survived.

@moviemaniac66 Disney is happening to Pixar. But I don't think this will seriously happen.

This doesn't sound like a real confirmation, though, but if it is in development, it's a bad idea.

I knew two people who worked on the first, I watched it but why does everything have to be a franchise. I wish Hollywood would get a clue

WTF PIXAR!!!!!!!! Three was the perfect ending to the trilogy. I will honestly refuse to watch a fourth. What the hell is happening to Pixar?????

I'm skeptical of this. Not only was Pixar pretty strong on the fact that they weren't going to do another, but this quote doesn't sound like Hanks is serious. He sounds more like he's blowing smoke and taking the piss out of the interviewer.

#3 will be a hard act to follow. Look what happened to the Schrek series. Hmmm.

I LOVED Toy Story like any other person above or below this comment, if they do make a Toy Story 4, they sure as HELL they make it absolutely good or else the entire franchise will go to SH*T!!!!!!

As a fan of all three Toy Story movies....i do say the third was a perfect ending....but i'm not totally against another one...I never say never until I know the story or until I see a trailer. I'm okay if they leave it alone but i'll be open minded about a fourth.

I don't believe Hanks statment to be true about a 4th Toy Story. Toy Story 3 ended so perfectly well, that they shouldn't continue on...

The Toy Story movies are overrated anyways. Yeah, they are good, but hardly the holy grails they are made out to be. And with Disney directing Pixar's moves, it's all really going downhill from here.

Never thought I'd ever say this, but no more Toy Story films! I wouldn't mind seeing them in short films and such cause we all love the characters, but Toy Story 3 ended so well. Nay to Toy Story 4.

It sounds like he's just sounding off about it as it wouldn't be an unreasonable prediction given Pixar's new direction.

Well, first let's hear from Pixar concerning the matter. For all we know Hanks was just pranking the media. However, if a 4th is on the horizon, I hope it's a good flick, otherwise they will be damaging a pristine franchise.
