Toy Story 3 becomes the highest animated opening day earner
Toy Story 3 was distributed to 4,025 screens, playing in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D. At this time, the film is estimated to earn well over $120 million by the time the weekend comes to a close. This is also the best opening weekend for a Disney-Pixar film, a record previously held by The Incredibles, which took in over $70 million when it premiered in November of 2004.
Toy Story 3 was released June 18th, 2010 and stars Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Ned Beatty, Don Rickles, Michael Keaton, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger. The film is directed by Lee Unkrich.

It will make enough money to let Pixar make better and greater animations... which they usually do every year. Money shouldn't mean everything, as it means though. It is better for Toy Story to be watched by less and liked by many, rather than being Avatar and watched by many and liked by less.

Toy Story will ALWAYS be better then avatar! I mean why would any good smart person spend well hard earned cash to see avatar more than once? I got it on blue-ray before seeing it, and when I watch it, all I could think of was "THIS CRAP IS THE #1 MOVIE OF ALL TIME?"' I spent my money on avatar. Big mistake! If you haven't seen avatar, then GOD BLESS YOU!

HASNT EARNED CRITICAL PRAISE??!! TS3 has recieved 99% positive from rotten tomatoes... not sure where movieweb gets its figures from, but that is pretty damn good for any movie let alone an animated feature. Anyhow, glad this is making some dough, i saw it and i thought it was ten times better than TS2, although i do feel it was a bit dark and scary for younger kids at times... all i have to say is the monkey freaked me out even...lol

@ I AM FRATSON, I agree with you, I enjoyed The A-Team as well, though it doesn't come close to Toy Story 3. Toy Story 3 is the first truly great film of the summer. Perfect film all around.

@jonspidey - gotta disagree w the f*ck ateam comment. i loved it. yea, it isnt the tv show, but with the humor and action, no matter how ridiculous, it was everything i expected from the movie. i personally loved it.
as for toy story, im glad to see it has done so well. gonna go see it tomorrow and after everyones comments below i know i wont be disappointed!!
