According to Variety, Touchstone Pictures has locked up romantic comedy pitch The Theory of Everything from scribe Pierce Gardner, with Jon Shestack on board to produce.

The story centers on a set of separated parents who seem to disagree about everything, except for their opinion of their son's new fiancée. As they try to break up the couple, they rediscover why opposites attract.
