Earlier today, we reported that director Tony Scott was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer before he committed suicide on Sunday afternoon. Now we have a report that the director's wife, Donna W. Scott, told investigators those claims are, "absolutely false."
Tony Scott did not have cancer before committing suicide
An autopsy was performed on the late filmmaker earlier today, although the results have been deferred so more tests could be performed. Donna W. Scott also said that her husband did not suffer from any other severe medical ailments.
Tony Scott passed away yesterday after jumping from the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro, California. He was 68 years old at the time of his death. We'll keep you posted as soon as the autopsy results are revealed.
More on this as the story develops.
