
Toni Collette joins Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho
The story centers on the famed director Alfred Hitchcock (Anthony Hopkins) as he struggles to put together his 1960 horror classic Psycho. Toni Collette will play Peggy Robertson, the director's longtime assistant, and Danny Huston is portraying Whitfield Cook, a friend of the director's wife, Alma Reville (Helen Mirren). Michael Stuhlbarg will play Alfred Hitchcock's agent, Lew Wasserman, and Michael Wincott is playing Ed Gein, the famed serial killer whose exploits Psycho is based on. Scarlett Johansson, James D'Arcy, and Jessica Biel are already set to play Psycho stars Janet Leigh, Anthony Perkins, and Vera Miles.
Sacha Gervasi is directing Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho from a screenplay by John J. McLaughlin (Black Swan). It isn't known when production will begin.
Hitchcock was released November 23rd, 2012 and stars Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Danny Huston, Toni Collette, Michael Stuhlbarg, Michael Wincott, Jessica Biel. The film is directed by Sacha Gervasi.
