Tommy Lee Jones in Talks to Direct The Lincoln Lawyer

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Tommy Lee Jones is negotiating to direct and co-star in The Lincoln Lawyer. The film will star Matthew McConaughey and is based on the 2005 best-seller by Michael Connelly.

The film is going to be made at Lakeshore Entertainment. It follows Mickey Haller (McConaughey), he is a hot shot Los Angeles lawyer who runs his practice out of the back of his Lincoln. Haller doesn't take on heavy cases until he finds himself "defending a Beverly Hills playboy accused of murder."

At present, it is unclear what role Jones will have as an actor. The script was written by John Romano.

The Lincoln Lawyer was released March 18th, 2011 and stars Matthew McConaughey, Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillippe, William H. Macy, Josh Lucas, John Leguizamo, Michael Peña, Bob Gunton. The film is directed by Brad Furman.
