Tomas Alfredson Set to Direct Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy

The director of one of last year's most critically-acclaimed films has found his follow-up project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Let the Right One In director Tomas Alfredson has come on board to direct Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

The film is an adpatation of the best-selling John LeCarre novel, which will be adapted by Peter Morgan (The Queen). This espionage thriller is set in the aftermath of the Cold War and revolves around a spy hunt in the British Secret Intelligence Service.

The novel was already adapted into the 1979 TV series Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, which starred Alec Guiness as George Smiley, who was charged with the task of finding the double-agent that infiltrated the agency.

Principal photography will start on the film in 2010.

    Hope this movie will as good as the 1979 one. I also hope this movie will have alot of drama and suepense in it, and only put the action when it is really needed. Because John Le Carre's spy stuff are not super spies at all.
