Tom Hardy to play Al Capone in David Yates's Cicero
Tom Hardy said he will play the Depression-era Chicago crime boss sometime next year and well into 2014:
"'I've been working with Warner Bros., watching their gangster films - the ones with James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson. It's interesting to get them, and a bit of Capone, into the bloodstream."
Cicero, Illinois was where Al Capone set up headquarters, so he could operate outside the city limits of Chicago during the 1920s.
Cicero comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Tom Hardy. The film is directed by David Yates.

This is the best news I've seen all day, especially directly after seeing news of a Bruce Almighty sequel.
And @shuabert now that I think about it, Ruffalo would actually make a pretty good Capone. I doubt it'll ever happen, but it'd be cool to see.
