Tom Hanks and Tim Allen reunite for Disney's Jungle Cruise
Roger S.H. Schulman will write the script, which is based off the Magic Kingdom theme park ride. No plot details were given, although it was mentioned that this will be a live-action adventure. The ride follows a steam boat down the wilds of Africa, where it comes in contact with numerous safari animals such as lions, elephants, and hippos. The boat's most exciting feature is that it comes under attack from natives who pelt the audience with arrows and blow darts, all of which will most likely be incorporated into this feature film.
David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, who both produced the Best Picture nominee The Fighter, will produce for Mandeville Films.
No director is attached to Jungle Cruise at this time. The movie will reunite Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, who both provided voices for another Best Picture nominee, Toy Story 3.
Disney is also developing Magic Kingdom, an adventure set inside the theme park which is being compared to Night at the Museum. Jon Favreau is attached to direct Magic Kingdom.
Jungle Cruise comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Tom Hanks, Tim Allen.

Jon Favreau goes from Iron Man to The Magic Kingdom? Hmmm.
I wonder if they will have PC natives in the movie instead of actual African looking natives. Remember Peter Jackson's King Kong Skull Island Natives? They were all races of people with matted and muddied up hair and skin. Lame!
