Tom Cruise Still Set for Edwin A. Salt?
Moviehole has confirmed from "high-ranking sources within the production" that Will Smith isn't involved in the film.
"The studio, producers,director and potential star (Cruise) are all waiting on a rewrite of the script from Kurt Wimmer,which is due in a few weeks.Will Smith has not been approached to star. Cruise is the only actor who has been approached."
However, another source told the site that while Cruise is the only person to be approached for the title role, Cruise is not officially on board yet and is waiting on the script to determine his involvement.

Salt was released July 23rd, 2010 and stars Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Daniel Olbrychski, August Diehl, Daniel Pearce, Hunt Block, Andre Braugher. The film is directed by Phillip Noyce.
