It seems that the live-action version of Jellystone Park has found its park ranger. According to Variety, Tom Cavanagh has signed on for Yogi Bear.

Cavanagh will play Ranger Smith and will join Anna Faris, Justin Timberlake and Dan Aykroyd in the film, which will be a live-action/CGI hybrid film. Cavanagh will be the male lead in the film and will be the love interest of Anna Faris' character, a documentary filmmaker who comes to make a film about the park.

Production is currently under way in New Zealand. Eric Brevig is directing from a script by Brad Copeland. The film is slated for a December 17, 2010 release.

Yogi Bear was released December 17th, 2010 and stars Dan Aykroyd, Justin Timberlake, Anna Faris, Tom Cavanagh, T.J. Miller, Nathan Corddry, Andrew Daly, Josh Robert Thompson. The film is directed by Eric Brevig.
