Tohokushinsha Film Corp. Picks Up Martin Scorsese's Rolling Stones Film in Japan
Tohokushinsha Film Corp. paid low seven figures for the film that looks at the rock band's Bigger Bang tour. Fortissimo Films closed a deal in Portugal with Films Lusomundo and is evaluating multiple offers in Spain, Italy, Australia/New Zealand, the U.K., Benelux, Israel, Scandinavia, Mexico and Turkey, reports Variety.
Fortissimo also picked up the rights to the comedy, Mama's Boy from Warner Independent Pictures.
From Tim Hamilton, the film centers on a 29-year-old slacker who lives with his mom. It stars Diane Keaton, Jeff Daniels, Jon Heder and Anna Faris.
Mama's Boy is scheduled for a summer 2007 release in North America.
The Rolling Stones flick will rock out theaters in late 2007.
