In a story from Variety, Joel Silver's Dark Castle Productions has chosen Todd Lincoln to write and direct The Apparition.

The idea for the film was developed by Lincoln, Dark Castle executive Alex Heineman and producer Daniel Alter. Nothing is much is known about this horror film but it is believed to be based on real life events.

Lincoln and Alter recently set up The Nye through Dark Castle which is based out of Warner Bros. That film is an adaptation of Whitley Strieber and Craig Spector's graphic novel.
