TMNT Reboot to Get Director Jonathan Liebesman?

Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles) is in early negotiations to direct a live-action remake of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Paramount.

The originals followed a quartet of humanoid turtles trained by their mentor in ninjitsu must learn to pull together in order to face the menace of Shredder and the Foot Clan. The original 90's version was directed by Steve Barron.

Although plot details are being held under wraps, it is said to be a new reimaging of the famous comic and cartoon series. Michael Bay, Bradley Fuller and Andrew Form would are producing for Platinum Dunes. Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec have already written the script.

Ninja Turtles comes to theaters December 25th, 2013. The film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman.

    The TMNT CGI movie that was the last film Turtle film on the big screen was NOT a reboot. It actually was a continuation of the previous films, a sequel. THIS movie that the article is talking about would be a true reboot to the entire franchise.
