Adult Alien Ninja Turtles?
Bleeding Cool sources had this to say about the title change:
"It seems to be driven by marketing. Think of John Carter and how Disney wouldn't allow for a title with either "Princess" or "Mars".
So, it's official? These turtles are no longer mutants or teenagers? "Adult Alien Ninja Turtles" anyone?
Last weekend, Michael Bay revealed that the movie will give the turtles an alien origin, so the removal of the word "Mutant" from the title makes sense. It is still unclear whether the turtles will be teenagers in the reboot.
The TMNT reboot will start shooting later this year, possibly around September, and they are looking for filming locations in Canada.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes to theaters June 6th, 2014 and stars Megan Fox, Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, Noel Fisher, Will Arnett, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner. The film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman.

@jayaottley@space101 they rely aren't changing much they are minor changes joker had no acid bath but he was still the joker to me, bumblebee wasn't a beetle car in transformers but but you knew it was him, unless there characteristics are changed like the things you just mentioned then i will understand backlash from fans as long as they act like teenagers it don't need to be in the title plenty reboots have different names thats my take on it anyway

Like him or hate him, you got to admit that if this fails then Bay's name will be covered in mud for ages to come.
I watch his films for one reason: entertainment

The quote from Bleeding Cool makes it sound almost as if John Carter was the prime example of top notch marketing LOL
Anyway, the alien stuff sounds OK to me, I not like their completely changing their origin or something, it's just slightly more believable. I'm sure they'll still look like turtles and act like their characters always have.

i really wish Micheal bay wasn't on this project at all. he needs to concentrate on making another bad boys 3, Independence day 2 or something else. the director who is doing G.I. Joe 2 would be much better.

Because everything that makes the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles what they are is being changed and alienated or deranged from its fanbase and that fanbase is what has made it so popular, its the characteristics that the turtles have that have made them the way they are, and they don't need changing.
When you think Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, you think of all those iconic attributes, that make the series and characters what they are.
From the shredder, spllnter, the carefree daring and c*cky attitude of the turtles, the word Cowbunga and the addiction of pizza
Its like grabbing Tom and Jerry and making Jerry a dog... does it grab your appeal, due to the drastic change?
