Director Jim Jarmusch has lined up actors Tilda Swinton, Michael Fassbender, Mia Wasikowska, and John Hurt for his Untitled Jim Jarmusch Project.

The story is primarily being kept under wraps, although the director said it was a, "crypto-vampire love story," which will be set in both Detroit and Tangiers. No character details were given for any of these new cast members.

Jim Jarmusch will direct from his own original screenplay. Production will start in early 2012, with shooting to take place in Germany, Morroco, and Detroit. Here's what director had to say about this new vampire project.

"I've been imagining this film for years. I can't wait to now realize it with these remarkable collaborators."


Untitled Jim Jarmusch Project comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Tilda Swinton, Michael Fassbender, Mia Wasikowska, John Hurt. The film is directed by Jim Jarmusch.

    @dan1 Glad you agree, I remeber seeing that in theaters when i was young and it had quite an effect on me. Visually it was superb and aside from the Godfather trilogy it really led me into more obscure Coppola films. It was my gateway Coppola film so to speak.

    Awesome cast and Jarmusch is pretty damn good at what he does. This is very interesting. I know vamp films are 'Not cool" at the moment but we NEED to get back to the REAL vamp movies.

    My vamps burst into dust when touched by sunlight...that sort of thing. They can be very good itf handled well and i have to admit that i loved Gary Oldman as Drac in Coppola's Dracula movie...and that is an "ancient" story.
