Thundercats CGI Test Footage Video

Warner Bros. is set to premiere a new Thundercats series on the Cartoon Network later this year. But before that came to fruition, a Thundercats CGI adaptation, based on the popular animated series that debuted in 1985, was set to hit theaters in 2012. And it has since been shelved. Today, CGI test footage from this planned big screen outing has leaked online.

The following footage hasn't been classified as official just yet, but the action on display falls in line with concept art that was leaked more than two years ago, when Jerry O'Flaherty was set to direct the project. You can check out the test footage below and decide for yourself.

    just got done watching the new thundercats on cartoon network. and i have to say.. the old1 looked 200xs better howevr, this1 looks like it has a better telling of the story even if parts were changed alil., I still liked it and i love how they kept it, "story" wize, this is not like any other cartoon where each week its a diff story, this1 was like, next week we'll see wat happened next, so thats kool. i cant wait to c the rest,
    I also would love it if thundercats was made into a movie, like star wars, or avatar theme, that b awsome!

    I was a huge fan of the originals but lets face it, they look a bit dated by todays standards. Hell i LOOOVED the transformers but couldnt help but chuckle at how bad some of the art was after rewatching that show recently on dvd.

    I have always felt that if you are going to remake something or "re-imagine" as they say, if you have nothing new to bring to the table then what is the point?

    I think it will indeed rock. The CGI flick looked realy kool, so to bad it wont be seen as a full lenght movie as it said it was ment to be.... Either way, I hope it turns out good.

    i love thundercats, ive been a fan of em since the day i was 6yo. I too, would love it if a movie was made and put into theaters, just like gi joe, and transformers were. But since that has been put aside for a bit. im fine having a re-imagine reboot or watever this is called. So far the updated stuff has looked kool from the pictures to the action figures and all the hype its getting. Cant go wrong w thundercats. I understand thundercats may not be for everybody, but i know its for me. and most of u too.

    After seeing that I'm kind of glad it got shelved. Liono's design was pretty bad. Too human looking. And his whiney/smartass/teenager persona would have been even more painful than it was here if I had to sit through it for 90 minutes. Oh well, maybe in another couple years someone else can try again.

    The org is the best, to any1 whos never seen a thundercats cartoon, its really worth it. It came out around the same time as transformers, gi joe and mask. like 1985 or so.     this may b test video, but i like the idea of it being a darker thing. much scary and doesnt look like a pretty landscape like the 80s or all that colorful. For sum reason lion-o's voice doesnt fit him. I know its supposed to b a younger version of him. but odd,

    ha he looks like the dude from twilight. edward or watever... So umm theres gonna b 2 diff thundercats? a cartoon on tv and a cgi movie in theaters?. it says the movie has been been shelved but it also says it comes to theaters in 2012. So im confused.
