Three Captain America: The First Avenger Character Posters

Three new character posters have debuted from the upcoming superhero adventure Captain America: The First Avenger, which hits theaters nationwide July 22. Take a look at these new one-sheets below, which feature Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, and Hugo Weaving as Johann Schmidt a.k.a The Red Skull.

Captain America: The First Avenger was released July 22nd, 2011 and stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Hugo Weaving, Dominic Cooper, Richard Armitage, Stanley Tucci. The film is directed by Joe Johnston.

    Really captures that retro WWII era feel. Classic character cards from that era, i think this is gorgeous. Simplicity isn't always treated well, but on this occasion it was perfectly mastered.

    @CelluloidDreams I agree completely about the third poster, "looks like requirement poster for the war effort." It's what this movie is all about, and i find it awesome that they managed to capture that.

    The first (1) poster makes me just laugh .,...it looks goofy ...I don't know how to really describe it ...but every time I look at it I just laugh

    ... the 2nd (2) poster is creepy cool ...still would be nice for the novice "Comic Book" fan to have a character name on the poster ....I know its Red Skull ..but still character names are good! .... BTW: The first two Red Skulls are Nazi agents and the third is a Communist. !!

    ..and the 3rd (3) poster ..I just draw a blank ...!! The actress doesn't look at all familiar ....and it looks like more of a 1940's retro requirement poster for the war effort.

    hey if anyone is interested, check out this link to what looks to be storyboards of action sequences to the Cap movie, reads the captions on the sides of the drawings and they give revealing nods to Thor and what could be the final scene, so look at ur own risk people...

    They're all awful, they just look like pasted characters on a background with absolutely no emotion or dimension. I don't think these are even fully finished theatrical posters, they don't even have the credit block or release date...
    I loved the first teaser poster though, with Evans looking down hold the shield, I actually bought that one.

    Im starting to think that this movie will be the first of the Marvel movies that are incorporated into one another that will be not very good. Just from the looks of things this looks really cheesy. I could be wrong though because Thor looked cheesy too but it was good.
