Marvel's Phase Two sequel Thor: The Dark World has passed the $600 million milestone at the worldwide box office.

The follow-up, which stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston, has surpassed Marvel blockbusters such as Iron Man ($585 million), the original Thor ($449 million) and Captain America: The First Avenger ($379 million).
Thor: The Dark World has earned $188.9 million from its domestic release and $411.8 million, making it the third Disney movie this year to pass $600 million, following Iron Man 3 ($1.2 billion) and Monsters University ($743 million).
The superhero adventure helped Disney break their own global box office record of $3.791 billion.
