Thor: The Dark World may kill off a major character
Some insiders are "pretty sure" that Anthony Hopkins' Odin will meet his maker, although nothing has been confirmed yet. It is possible that the death of Thor's father could be a key plot point to be used down the road in another sequel, or even in The Avengers 2.
Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) is directing from a screenplay by Don Payne (Thor). Chris Hemsworth returns as the mighty title character, with Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Jaimie Alexander (Sif), and Idris Elba (Heimdall) reprising their roles from Thor.
Thor: The Dark World comes to theaters November 8th, 2013 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Ray Stevenson, Kat Dennings, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston. The film is directed by Alan Taylor.

I see either Darcy, Dr.Selvig, Malekith, Algrim aka Kurse or his Mother, Frigga dying.

And if Odin where does he go? Yeah that's right Valhalla.
And as a scandic i'm a little insulted you're killing off our God Odin. He's the viking king!

Maybe MAYBE Thanos is involved with Odin's death? lol far fetched but still

Doubt it. Odin went into his "Odin's Sleep" in the first film. To do this would be a little too repetitive, don't ya think?

Roberto Mata
Iron Man 3 deals with Tony becoming one with his armor, with the extremis technology, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, will deal with Steve adapting himself in the modern world and reuniting and defeating his old friend, with the possibility of Red Skull returning, The Incredible Hulk 2, may introduce The Leader as a secondary villain, Ant-Man will begin in the 70's with Hank Pym being introduce in the opening credits making the subatomic particles and scott lang continuing his research, those are my thoughts on the The Avengers Phase 2.

if this is true, Thor will become the King of Asgard, the question is: will he be able to appear in The Avengers 2 and 3? or maybe Thanos kills Odin, and Thor needs the help of Iron Man, Cap. and Hulk to defeat him, it would be cool if we see The Avengers in Asgard!

I would kill off Jane Foster, and have Sif replace her as love interest. I love Portman, but I like the idea of Thor and Sif better.

@skywise Likewise. I think it could pose a great chance for some substantial character development for Thor. If it turns out to be legit, that is.

I can see it happening, but we've had no one say he's even in this film. Surely by now it would have been revealed?
