Thor Begins Shooting in Mid-January
Marvel Studios expands its film universe with a new type of superhero: Thor. This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
Thor stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander, Colm Feore and Samuel L. Jackson. It comes to theaters May 20, 2011 from Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios.
Thor was released May 6th, 2011 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgård, Kat Dennings, Clark Gregg, Idris Elba. The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh.

Marvel Studios only made IRONMAN & HULK. FF2 & PUNISHER were just 'in association', that's why they had a different feel to IRONM & HULK.
THOR has some hope with Kenneth Branghan directing & Marvel on their own.

Hopefully marvel churns out another great flick from their own production house...the Punisher sequel was a turn in the wrong direction...Thor could be very good...didn't care for the comic growing up...just his role on the Avengers.

Read the screenplay, it's brilliant. It makes it even better that Kenneth Branagh the greatest thespian is directing it. The comics are great.
