Apparently, Ward's work on Hitman 2 is preventing him from getting Sony a script sooner.
It is looking like the studio is going to hire Conan screenwriters Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer to write the screenplay.
While this deal has yet to be finalized, Latino Review is certain that it will be announced in the trade publications shortly.

I wished they would have banned your ip, so you were gone for a longer period of time. Where is movieweb nowadays? This guy harasses everyone and nothing is done about it. He is the most hated person on this site and talks more sh*t to the users than he does about actual movie news in a constructive manner. What other reasons do you need to ban this guy again? You even warned him last time and he was good for about 3 days. Now he is back to his old ways, his major character flaws, if you will. Is there a report section for this type of thing cause if no moderators look at these comments now, we need to take care of this as it's getting out of hand. Get rid of Newkill for the 2nd time, and if he wants to continue to be "himself", he can find another movie site.

We know it's popular, you don't need to tell us why, we know. But the game looks really good graphically you moron, which is obvious, thus like Gears of War, it must be top notch visually as well as told, hence, lighting, camera shots, clothing, props, sets, green screen background effects etc. Don't argue with me about something that we both know needs to be in it lol. As much as we don't want this be made and ruined, it's going to happen. So all we can hope for now is that they get a writer who DOESN'T work on other crappy videogame-movies.
But the main problem with these game-movies, I think, is that they aren't coreographed or filmed right, and the lighting is off, along with bad dialouge. So I hope that they find top notch filmmakers to do this, because it could be done good.

Iamthatguy, indiana jones wasn't the first treasure hunting, adventuress type movie. True, Uncharted has similarities to the Indiana Jones series, but that's just the treasure hunting.
Chad, in a way, I agree with you but in another way I gotta disagree. These are the same writers from Sahara, which wasn't great but was decent, and if it was anyone to write Uncharted into a movie I would definitely take my chances with these guys.
Remy, Metal Gear will never be made and it definitely won't be done right. They'll wait til Kojima dies and then they'll take the rights and f*ck it up. So, no Metal Gear.
