The X-Files: I Want to Believe Brings the Conspiracy to DVD and Blu-ray on December 2nd

Movie Picture
You can take Agents Mulder and Scully home on DVD and Blu-Ray this holiday season. The X-Files: I Want to Believe will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on December 2. The film will be released in a single-disc version ($29.98 SRP) a three-disc "Ultimate X-Phile Edition" ($34.98 SRP) and the Blu-Ray edition ($39.98 SRP), which will be Fox's first disc with BD Live features. The film stars David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and Billy Connolly.

Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny re-team to unravel a bizarre case right out of The X-Files. Amidst an eerily deceptive calm, F.B.I. agent Monica Bannan is abducted. Not only does the search for the missing woman ignite sparks between partners Scully (Anderson) and Mulder (Duchovny), it defies the boundaries of science, the supernatural and the terrifying spaces in between!

I liked this film. Probably because I'm a hardcore x-phile so I enjoy everything they do. I agree it was not as good as the last one, but I thought it was enjoyable. And compared to other films out in the same period I think it was in the top 3. Plus since I enjoy the story behind the x-files and the feel of all the shows and films, it was just good to see them again. I will definitely buy this when it's out . I do think it is a bad idea to make us wait so long. If they sold it this month I think they would make more money rather than making us wait till the holiday season when everyone will forget about it and have other things to go against. So that's a bad move in my opinion. Earlier release! Plus I hope the third movie goes in theatres unlike what has been posted! Good job DD and GA and CC :)

Why do they continue to make X-File movies? The movies are always crap.

    I didn't like the film in theaters...not something I would own!! A Digital Copy is a rip-off!

Once again, a 3-disc that's not worth it. A Digital Copy takes up ONE ENTIRE DISC, while the only worthwhile features on the X-Phile Edition DVD happen to be a make-up segment and the Trust No One doc*mentary, which are not really worthwhile. I would most likely not care about their thoughts on keeping this movie a secret anyway, since it had nothing to do with mythology so the secret sucked. BTW What WAS the secret again??

And no mention of the "Fight The Future" DVD re-release like they promised would come out with this, huh? Well that figures. It wouldn't be double-dipping if they released that DVD like they said they were going to, so where the hell is it? They did this with X-Men 3. 20th Century Fox can kiss my ass with this product.

And you guys are right. They SHOULD have released "I Want To Believe" as a straight-to-DVD, instead of leaving it to Carter who instead wound up releasing it against The Dark Knight. That shows us he is no genius. The news is that #3 will be straight-to-DVD. With everything I just mentioned, I am not looking forward to it.

    yeah your prolly right
i mean i don't know what happened with Carter after the 1st movie
no wonder 20th Century Fox was in trouble
but maybe i'll rent this one a couple times
the 1st one at least had a sense of what the show was made for
