Rosamund Pike has joined the cast of The World's End
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will return for the final installment of their Three Flavors Cornetto trilogy, which includes 2004's Shaun of the Dead and 2007's Hot Fuzz. No details were given for Rosamund Pike's character. The story revolves around five friends who reunite 20 years after an epic pub crawl, when one of the friends decides to recreate the event. They realize that their goal of reaching the bar known as The World's End is the last of their worries.
Edgar Wright is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Simon Pegg. Production is slated to begin next month in the U.K.
Rosamund Pike will next be seen in Paramount's Jack Reacher, starring alongside Tom Cruise.
The World's End comes to theaters August 23rd, 2013 and stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Rosamund Pike, Eddie Marsan, Julian Seager, Paul Kennington. The film is directed by Edgar Wright.
