@narrator yeah, I think Hamill is.. I'm sad he doesn't want to do the Joker anymore though... At least just for the video games Mark!!! After this film, Reeves and Jackman will be tied with 5 a piece

Oh, of course, @mcleve02. Haha. And he still did work on Arkha City! So awesome, both he and Mark Hamil (who might be the longest lasting villain of all time?). Yeah, come to think of itReeves might have lasted longer than Jackman as well, since he had five or so live-action Superman films.

@Dark-White-Knight it's both actually, but one can't ask for an autograph and if you did you can be kicked off the job.
There are rules to follow, can't talk to actors unless you have a speaking role. 3 to 4 hours of going over lines, practice makes perfect.

An extra's job is to be quiet and do as your told. Otherwise you can have fun, lots of reading, no devices of any kind. talk to other extra's at lunch.
If Hugh or any big star talks to you, you can't say a thing.

Take another pair of clothes, be nice to people and above all don't upset anyone. the background casting director is the only person an extra can talk to besides the union Representative.

@narrator Assuming your talking live action superhero roles... Because I'm pretty sure that Kevin Conroy has that title... technically... haha

Oh, wait, so are they gonna go with the half-Japanese son that he has? Or that could be in another sequel they plan.

@narrator@moviegeek Agreed, fans want an X-Men movie and First Class is awesome, but Wolverine is arguably the most beloved character of the franchise. His own movie (properly done) could be as amazing as any "single superhero" movie like Batman, or Spider-man. It's just like Iron Man/The Avengers, no need to choose; fans just want both :D

@rufio Agree about the VFX. Those claws were the worst thing I've ever seen. It's amazing that they made them look amazing in the first X-Men movie 12 years ago, and they completely screwed them up years of VFX advancement later. And what was up with those insane sparks coming out them?

  10. the Narrator

I'm not sure, @bawnian-dexeus. Part of me thinks it would be interesting to see aversion of Logan that's... aged? Haha. But another part of me feels that we'd be long tired of Jackman in that character's shoes by then. He's been Wolverine for over the past decade, and soon enough he'll be the longest actor in any given superhero role.

@narrator How far do you think Jackman can last as Logan? Think they will go as far as to incorporate Old Man Logan?

  12. the Narrator

They are, @moviegeek. Which is why the First Class sequel is currently in pre-pro with Vaugh still attached. This IS Fox we're talking about. They see a cash cow or two, and they figure they should go for all of them. Not that I'm complaining if this film actually turns out to be as entertaining as the comic it was based off of. Just because First Class's sequel should be a priority doesn't mean this film can't be made either, especially since both will undoubtedly make money.

@narrator You think fans would be far more interested in a first class sequel.

  14. the Narrator

Because it's what the fans want, @moviegeek.

The studio should have made this film from the get-go, instead of what we got with Origins, which only served to muddle up a rather beautiful and inspired back story of a famous character (the Origins graphic novel). Here's hoping they don't mess this film up, because a lot can still go very wrong.

i hope this movie is better than the first Origins movie. that one was such a major disappointment on so many levels for me. effects were terrible (even his claws looked cartoonish at times). story was awful (and not even completely faithful to the original X-Men movies - i know this isn't a big deal to some as it was faithful to comic origins and stuff, but if you are going to have a spinoff from a trilogy, you gotta stay true to the source material or reboot it so you are free to do whatever you want).
in truth, i am growing a little tired of wolverine. i don't think it's jackman. moreso the directors/writers that keep taking the helm of X-Men. we'll see though.
