The Wild Grabs the Number One Spot In DVD Sales

It was a Wild week for Disney and The Weinstein Co. as they split the top spots on the DVD and sales charts.

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, The Wild placed first on the "national DVD sales chart for the week ending Sept. 17." On the rental side, Lucky Number Slevin took the top honors on Home Media Retailing's rental chart, while The Wild opened in the tenth slot.

In sales, Grey's Anatomy: The Complete Second Season Uncut bowed in the number two slot, while Lucky Number Slevin took third. Smallville: The Complete Fifth Season came in fourth while The Office: Season Two debuted in the eighth position.

George Lucas had something to smile about as Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars Episode V: Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi placed fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively.
