The Weinstein Company Gets in the Ring with The Fighter
The film, directed by David O. Russell, will star Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. It is currently in pre-production.
Film is about half-brothers "Irish" Micky Ward and Dickie Eklund. It was written by Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson, and was recently rewritten by Scott Silver and Lewis Colick.
Paramount Pictures will be distributing the film domestically.
The Fighter was released December 10th, 2010 and stars Christian Bale, Mark Wahlberg, Amy Adams, Melissa Leo, Dendrie Taylor, Jack McGee, Jenna Lamia, Bianca Hunter. The film is directed by David O. Russell.

Mark Wahlberg isn't that great of an actor. I did enjoy The Italian Job and The Departed. Then again Matt Damon or Leonardo DiCaprio could do the films he gets casted for.
Christian Bale will deliver just like he did in The Dark Knight and Rescue Dawn.
