The Weinstein Co. Picks up Wong Kar Wai's My Blueberry Nights

The Weinstein Co. has bought all U.S. rights to Wong Kar Wai's My Blueberry Nights, a road movie set in the U.S. and starring American actors, according to Variety.

The movie centers on a woman, played by singer Norah Jones, who travels across the country searching for answers about love and finding comedic adventures along the way. The ensemble cast also includes Jude Law, David Strathairn, Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman.

Wong co-wrote the script with Lawrence Block. He also produced, together with Jean Louis Piel, Jacky Pang and Wang Wei. The movie is currently in post-production.

My Blueberry Nights was released April 4th, 2008 and stars Jude Law, Norah Jones, Chad R. Davis, Katya Blumenberg, John Malloy, Demetrius Butler, Frankie Faison, David Strathairn. The film is directed by Kar Wai Wong.
