The Wayans Brothers to Spoof Cop Genre

Keenen Ivory, Shawn and Marlon Wayans have agreed to write and star in an action spoof that will target cop movies. According to Variety, the untitled project is being developed for Paramount and will be similar in theme to their very successful Scary Movie franchise.

Keenon will direct the film, as he has done with other Wayans brothers' projects in the past. As the movie will spoof the entire genre of buddy cop films and procedural dramas, no plot description is necessary. The brothers will produce the film with longtime partner Rick Alverez.

The film does not have an official start date at this time.

    "scary Movie", & every sequel after that was a waste of timespace!! I'm sorry but the parody of horror films got old, and old fast!
    Ohhh, and yeah forgot "The Naked Gun" series, "Spy Hard" & "Wrongfully Accused" which were 100% more funny, & they were done W./a better sense of humor by Leslie Nielsen!!!
    The Wayans Brothers need to go rethink there careers!

    Wasn't this idea already done with "Hot Fuzz"????
    "Hot Fuzz" was a great funny little film which did the smae thing I.E. Spoof the entire genre of buddy cop films, and also various scenes in "Hot Fuzz" feature a variety of action film DVDs and scenes from "Point Break" and "Bad Boys II".

    Not only is ComradeHenson right its been done in hot fuzz it was even done years ago with nation lampoons loaded weapon 1. Do we need another spoof movie with them in it?

    F*cking morons, the Brits already did this, it was called Hot Fuzz, and I guarantee you it was 1000 times smarter and funnier than anything the Wayans can come up with. Spoof Parody is almost the lowest form of entertainment, just above watching wolves eat babies.
    What're they gonna do, add fart noises to clips of Lethal Weapon Movies?
