Tickets for The Twilight Saga's New Moon have already gone on sale two months in advance of its release in theaters. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Carmike Cinema chain has started offering tickets to the film's November 19th midnight debut.

You can purchase tickets for select theaters at Fandango. The Carmike chain, which operates 247 theaters across the country, will offer tickets at 63 of its theaters starting today. At this time, it is too early to track how many tickets have already sold for the event.

The move to offer early tickets comes on the heels of AMC Entertainment's decision to sell early tickets for James Cameron's highly anticipated sci fi flick Avatar four months before its release date. Most advanced ticketing doesn't happen until six weeks before a film is released in theaters.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon was released November 20th, 2009 and stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, Billy Burke, Ashley Greene, Anna Kendrick, Christian Serratos, Michael Welch. The film is directed by Chris Weitz.
