The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and The Green Hornet Rumors Cleared Up

Eclipse rumors are untrue
Eclipse rumors are untrue
Yesterday we reported that the third installment of a popular vampire film series could undergo reshoots without the original director and the day before that we reported that Sony wasn't happy with an upcoming superhero film. It seems that both stories aren't true. IndieWire is reporting that Summit Entertainment has confirmed that pick-ups (not a reshoot) on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse are happening, but director David Slade will be at the helm.

The original story claimed that Summit had reached out to Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke and The Twilight Saga: New Moon director Chris Weitz to potentially helm the new shoot, but Summit denied the claim and praised the director Slade by saying that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, might be, "the best of the three." It was said that the pick-ups will take place over two or three days and will happen in the next few weeks.

IndieWire also cleared up the story that Sony wasn't pleased with The Green Hornet in speaking with Sony rep Steve Elzer who said, "The stuff that has been shown to us is remarkable. We fully support [Gondry] and are confident in the direction he is heading." The original story, which Elzer called, "complete garbage," claimed that the studio wasn't happy with director Michel Gondry's take on the film, but it was said that the studio has only seen about one-third of the film so far and Elzer added that, "What we have seen is outstanding."

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse was released June 30th, 2010 and stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz. The film is directed by David Slade.

The Green Hornet was released January 14th, 2011 and stars Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz, Tom Wilkinson, Christoph Waltz, David Harbour, Edward James Olmos, Jamie Harris. The film is directed by Michel Gondry.

Is Eclipse the one with the Vampire orgasm that blows Bella across the room, or is that Breaking Dawn? Either way, I can't see them including that scene without getting an R rating.

Dark enV is absolutely correct about the Twilight movie. As for Green Hornet, even if it were horrible, the execs at Sony would still build up the movie they green-lit in the hopes of turning a profit. I don't know if Green Hornet will be horrible or not, but I'm sure no executive will trash his company's flick. It's just a matter of how much damage control he's doing. You know, was the leak truly a false report, or is he just trying to save face for now. We won't know the answer until December.

I don;t think it matters if the movies are R or PG-13...Practically every single idiot has read the saga, and they will watch it on the big screen even if its NC-17

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will NOT be rated R, mainly because that would take most of the their money away, cause there fan base is about 78% teenage girls, if they made it R they wouldn't make nearly as much money. It will more than likely be a heavy PG-13 movie in my mind, Slade knows what he's doing and I think it will end up being an enjoyable movie, guys will more than likely get drawn into the film too

Hmm...we'll have to see about Green Hornet. I'm such a big Bruce Lee fan. And I was really hoping that they would snag Tony Jaa for the role of Kato. But, I like Seth Rogan and Gondry is an original director. Neither is whom I would have guessed to be involved in a Green Hornet movie, but maybe that will make it good. At least it won't be another cookie cutter special effects driven remake/adaptation ... hopefully ... crossing the fingers...
