Tragedy was averted last night in Missouri, when police arrested a man who was planning on opening fire during a weekend screening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

Police in Bolivar, Missouri arrested 20-year-old Blaec Lammers on Thursday night, after they were tipped off by the man's mother that he recently purchased two assault rifles and 400 rounds of ammunition, weapons similar to those used in the Aurora, Colorado shooting during a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises in July that claimed 12 lives.

Lammers had purchased tickets for a Sunday screening of Summit Entertainent's vampire franchise finale, with the intent of shooting theater goers. He later decided to commit the shooting at a local Wal-Mart, so he could procure more ammunition if he ran out, but it never came to that. Lammers was charged this morning with first degree assault, making a terroristic threat and armed criminal action. Here's a statement released by the Bolivar Police Department.

"Blaec Lammers stated that he had a lot in common with the people that have been involved in those shootings. Blaec Lammers stated that he was quiet, kind of a loner, had recently purchased firearms and didn't tell anybody about it, and had homicidal thoughts."

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 was released November 16th, 2012 and stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Kellan Lutz. The film is directed by Bill Condon.

The Hobbit shouldn't have any problems. It's f*cking Tolkien, guys. Tolkien brought all the peace to the world that John Lennon did, without any of the controversy. :P

I've said it before: it's idiotic to give a killer so much publicity like the one who caused the shooting in Colorado did, because they're just giving him what he wants: attention. Given enough media attention, there will be imitators. Seems I was right.

Glad no one is saying "Twilight fans deserve to die!" Was afraid of that. No one should be shot and killed for liking a bad movie. I'd be murdered a million times over.
