Awesome little video. It's great to see two of this generation's greatest filmmakers discussing their own influences. The wait to see Tree of Life is killing me, as it doesn't open here until next month.

I guess I haven't seen a Terrence Malick film. He's only directed 7 movies? The Thin Red Line and New World are both movies I've put on the back burner but never watched.

Ironically, I dont feel as strongly for Terrence Malick. I'm not ripping on the guy, he's decent at what he does......but he's no Nolan or Fincher, thats for sure.

No one is questioning Malick's visuals. I think all they're saying is that he's great at what he does. And I think everyone pretty much concedes to that point.

Now I want to see this movie even more. Nolan and Fincher are my two out of my top three favorite filmmakers, so if they are heaping praise on this film then i will definately check it out.
