Cher might play a nun in The Farrelly Brothers comedy The Three Stooges
It seems that Cher agreed to the part years ago when filming a cameo for the brothers' comedy Stuck On You, when they believed The Three Stooges would be their next project. A rep for the actress did not comment on the story. Here's what Peter Farrelly had to say about the actress.
"Cher is just the coolest chick ever. It's hard to describe. You meet a lot of celebrities in our business. We're not cowed by many of them. But Cher is bawdy, she's fun, she's cool, she's lived a life, she's got experience, she's humble. It's the humility that struck me the most. She's not really a diva."
Initially, The Three Stooges was set up with Jim Carrey, Sean Penn, and Benicio Del Toro as the Stooges until the project fell apart late last year. However, Bobby Farrelly revealed that Benicio Del Toro could still be in contention to play Moe.
We also reported in January that Johnny Knoxville and Andy Samberg were in talks for the comedy. Although no one has officially signed on yet, Bobby Farrelly indicated they could still be in the running.
"We like both of those guys. We always thought Samberg looks a little like he could play Larry. And Knoxville is a real-life stooge. He's a real-life Moe."
The Three Stooges is planning to start production in March.
The Three Stooges was released April 13th, 2012 and stars Sean Hayes, Will Sasso, Chris Diamantopoulos, Jane Lynch, SofĂa Vergara, Jennifer Hudson, Craig Bierko, Stephen Collins. The film is directed by Bobby Farrelly, Peter Farrelly.

Original cast would have bees funny! Definitely don't wanna see it if it's these people in it! Not looking good at all!

Del Toro, Penn, and Carrey would have been epic and at least sold another ticket on my end for the names alone, but since that idea is dead and gone, so is my anticipation for this. Oh well.

I have enjoyed all the Farrelly bros movies i've seen but something just doesn't sit right with me on this project.

It's the Farrellys so there's some hope but, yeah @cupid , it's probably gonna suck.

The Narrator: The Better Man
This film actually had something going for it with a totally unique cast. With these types of actors attached now, it seems completely predictable and pointless. Without the cast, there's not interest in this project for me.

Knoxville and Samberg as Moe and Larry works for me, better than Del Toro, Penn, and Carrey. I want FUNNY people for these parts, and at least a fat guy to play Curly.
