Will Sasso cast as Curly in The Three Stooges
We reported earlier this week that Will Sasso was a front runner for one of the Stooges, although it wasn't clear which Stooge role he was circling. The story is not a biopic of The Three Stooges, Larry, Curly, and Moe, but is split up into three vignettes telling a whole new story withe the Stooges as actual characters.
Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly will direct from their own screenplay. Earlier reports indicate that The Three Stooges will start shooting sometime this month, although it is likely that will be pushed, despite today's casting news.
The Three Stooges was previously set up as a vehicle for stars Jim Carrey, Benicio Del Toro, and Sean Penn, although that incarnation fell apart last year.
The Three Stooges was released April 13th, 2012 and stars Sean Hayes, Will Sasso, Chris Diamantopoulos, Jane Lynch, Sofía Vergara, Jennifer Hudson, Craig Bierko, Stephen Collins. The film is directed by Bobby Farrelly, Peter Farrelly.

@fat-jesus You are comparing Hall Pass to the Three Stooges? That is just crazy talk. The name of the Three Stooges alone will give this movie 50 plus million dollars worldwide. And as long as they keep the budget low that should be enough to make profit.
As for Sasso being cast as Curly I think it is a damn good choice. I am a long time Stooges fan and I don't want to see the Stooges to be remade in anyway BUT if they are going to do it anyway you might as well do it right. And this is a very good start.

Descent choice, I hadn't even considered him. This movie has been an up and downer for me. at least they got a fat bald guy for this role instead the guys were talking about.

@ejk1 Sasso is a decent casting choice. He was funny in MadTV and is funny sometimes on Sh*t My Dad Says with William Shatner.
