The Sorcerer's Apprentice Fantasia: The Coolest Scene Ever Featurette Debuts

In anticipation of Walt Disney Pictures upcoming summer fantasy adventure film The Sorcerer's Apprentice, which hits theaters on July 14th, Disney has unveiled a brand-new Fantasia Featurette. This insightful look behind-the-scenes explains how the groundbreaking animated musical from 1942 inspired The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and what it took to bring the highly anticipated magical broom scene to life. Dave is just an average college student, or so it appears, until the sorcerer Balthazar Blake recruits him as his reluctant protégé and gives him a crash course in the art and science of magic. As he prepares for a battle against the forces of darkness in modern-day Manhattan, Dave finds it is going to take all of the courage he can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice was released July 14th, 2010 and stars Jay Baruchel, Nicolas Cage, Monica Bellucci, Alfred Molina, Toby Kebbell, Ethan Peck, Teresa Palmer, Peyton List. The film is directed by Jon Turteltaub.
