The Smurfs Teaser Trailer Premieres!

Yahoo! Movies has just released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming film The Smurfs, which will be released in theaters everywhere in 3D on August 3, 2011. Click below to watch this first video from the film, which includes an introduction from one of the film's stars, Neil Patrick Harris.

The Smurfs was released July 29th, 2011 and stars Hank Azaria, Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Sofía Vergara, Tim Gunn, Madison McKinley, Meg Phillips, Julie Chang. The film is directed by Raja Gosnell.

    @Monkeyiron: as you obviously couldn't tell, it was a sarcastic comment reflecting my opinion that the direction the film is taking is a bad idea, and will probably be what happens, in regards to obtaining something in NYC to be able to fend off gargamel and return to the magic forest or whatnot. abandoning the setting for the filmed adaptation with so many iconic things from that series taking place there seems to be a bad idea.

    not the most enticing teaser i've seen, but it gets the point across.
    looks silly but if you didn't expect a smurf movie to be silly then..... uh, i don't know what you expected.
