The Rundown: Just in time for Friday's opening of his new movie, "Walking Tall," Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has grabbed the top slot on the home video charts with "The Rundown."

The Universal release, also starring Seann William Scott and Rosario Dawson, was the top-selling and -renting title nationwide for the week ending March 28, according to Nielsen VideoScan and Video Store magazine research.

"Rundown" sold more than 1.5 million combined DVD/VHS units to consumers and video rental chains during its first 24 hours in release and is believed to have sold more than 3 million combined units during its first five days, according to industry sources.

"Rundown" generated more than $11 million in gross rental revenue during the same frame, according to Video Store magazine.

Warner's "Gothika," starring Halle Berry and Robert Downey Jr., debuted as the nation's second-best-renting and -selling DVD, generating an estimated $9.15 million in gross rental revenue during its first five days on store shelves, according to VideoScan and Video Store magazine data, respectively.

Universal's "Honey," starring Jessica Alba, was the nation's third-best-selling DVD and the second-best-selling VHS during its debut week on home video, according to VideoScan. It sold an estimated 700,000 combined DVD/VHS units to consumers and rental stores during its first 24 hours, sources said. "Honey" generated nearly $6 million in estimated gross rental revenue during the week, according to Video Store magazine.

Universal's "Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat," starring Mike Myers, slid from No. 1 to No. 4 on VideoScan's DVD sales chart in its second week while maintaining its No. 1 position on the VHS sales chart. "Cat" sold nearly 2 million combined DVD/VHS during its first 24 hours in release.

The Rundown was released September 26th, 2003 and stars Dwayne Johnson, Seann William Scott, Rosario Dawson, Christopher Walken, Ewen Bremner, Jon Gries, William Lucking, Ernie Reyes Jr.. The film is directed by Peter Berg.
