Deep in the heart of Jakarta's slums lies an impenetrable safe house for the world's most dangerous killers and gangsters. Until now, the run-down apartment block has been considered untouchable to even the bravest of police. Cloaked under the cover of pre-dawn darkness and silence, an elite swat team is tasked with raiding the safe house in order to take down the notorious drug lord that runs it. But when a chance encounter with a spotter blows their cover and news of their assault reaches the drug lord, the building's lights are cut and all the exits blocked. Stranded on the sixth floor with no way out, the unit must fight their way through the city's worst to survive their mission. Starring Indonesian martial arts sensation Iko Uwais.
The Raid: Redemption was released March 23rd, 2012 and stars Iko Uwais, Joe Taslim, Doni Alamsyah, Yayan Ruhian, Pierre Gruno, Ray Sahetapy, Tegar Satrya, Iang Darmawan. The film is directed by Gareth Evans.

@messenger -- I hated the teaser-trailers that show nearly nothing.

@messenger -- Indeed, but that's teasers nowadays - thank God.

@messenger -- Maybe it's suppose to be somewhat of a teaser-trailer?

Looks f*cking badass. Sure there is no story in the trailer but the stuntwork and action scenes alone have me really intrigued. I like trailers that don't give away any story anyways.

I don't know man, knowing NOTHING of the story bothers me. Seeing the action makes me want a good story to go a long with it. But I do see what you are saying thought and I some what agree but at the same time, that still is flimsy trailer.

"Amazing" "Incredible". How so? Cuz people are shooting and stabbing one another? All I see is hollow violence. This looks like just an exercise in excess.

looks f*cking incredible. and @messenger thats why the trailer is so great. it doesn't show you alot, but it shows you enough to interest you. I love when I watch a movie, knowing nothing about it, but I know enough to make me feel the need to sit down and watch it.

That's not how you make a trailer. Nothing about the story what so ever.
