The Pacific to Air March 14 2010
The 10-part miniseries will run weekly.
The Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg-produced project is said to probably be "the most expensive TV movie/miniseries ever made." It examines Marines that are fighting in the Pacific during World War II.

Not only that, it'll win it I'm betting right now. The only unfortunate thing is that all the primary characters this series follows passed away before HBO got the ball rolling, so there'll be no personal stories/interviews from the real guys, just whatever was in the books it's based on.
