Piranha 3D was released August 20th, 2010 and stars Richard Dreyfuss, Ving Rhames, Elisabeth Shue, Christopher Lloyd, Eli Roth, Jerry O'Connell, Steven R. McQueen, Jessica Szohr. The film is directed by Alexandre Aja.

    i watch so many terrible movies that don't have christopher lloyd or richard dreyfus in them, that i simply cannot see the problem with watching a terrible movie that DOES have christopher lloyd or richard dreyfus in it.

    I will give it a shot because it is Alexander Aja and I LOVED The Hills Have Eyes. Then again, Mirrors was awful... but this looks to be mindless summer fun which is exactly what they are going for. I think it will probably surprise people and get good reviews just because of that fact.

    The idea of this being a horror movie is sound couse it is a remake in the spirtit just as Nightmare on Elm Street is and so fourth. But 3d sucks, and is a bain to all movies until it is done to be worth the extra money to watch. Might not be worth to watch in the theaters even in a non 3d format. But would be worth watching at a Red Box movie machine for a buck.

    I don't think the 3D intro was necessary. As for the rest of the trailer, it looks really stupid - but stupid doesn't always mean bad, or unwatchable. Rental for sure.
