'The Matrix Revolutions' turns up the heat on IMAX
The Matrix Revolutions was the first live-action Hollywood event film released simultaneously in traditional 35mm and IMAX 15/70 formats.
According to IMAX, the release to IMAX theatres provides an alternate viewing opportunity for audiences seeking the ultimate, immersive movie-going experience. IMAX audiences get crystal clear images of The Matrix Revolutions on screens up to eight stories tall surrounded by 12,000 watts of pure digital surround sound. The film has been digitally re- mastered for the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience(R), using the revolutionary and proprietary IMAX(R) DMR(TM) (Digital Re-mastering) technology.
The Matrix Revolutions was released November 5th, 2003 and stars Mary Alice, Tanveer K. Atwal, Helmut Bakaitis, Kate Beahan, Francine Bell, Monica Bellucci, Rachel Blackman, Henry Blasingame. The film is directed by Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski.
