Gordon-Levitt and Ryan Gosling wanted for The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Ryan Gosling, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Alexander Skarsgård are being eyed for the upcoming reboot of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. for the part of Ilya Kuryakin. Warner Bros. is looking to freshen up a TV show from the '60s with one of Hollywood's emerging young stars.

The original was based on a pair of agents from the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement who are regularly tasked with protecting the planet from the evil forces of Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity (THRUSH).

Steven Soderbergh will be directing and David Dobkin, Jeff Kleeman and John Davis are set to produce.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. comes to theaters in 2012. The film is directed by Guy Ritchie.

    ...As anyone ever seen one episode of "The Man from U.N.C.L.E."! who have commented? I have, it's not a bad show...dated worth watching however!. Two secret agents work for a fictitious secret international espionage and law-enforcement agency. the U.N.C.L.E. is "ambiguous".

    The show sometimes comes on either ME Tv or Retro Tv channel..!!

    By dated, it deals with Cold-War issues, etc.!. Dated...but still worth a view for a taste of 60's pop culture history.

    It would be interesing to see how Hollywood could make it work as a film. "I Spy" & "The Avengers" are two prime examples when Tv and film don't work!.

    That TV series was so corny. My parents bought the complete series which came in an attach&#233 case. So hilarious how corny the thing was. They were even laughing at the notion they enjoyed it so much as kids. If this project wants to be taken seriously, then it won't resemble the series much besides names. However, if Soderbergh really wants to do this right, it'll be aimed towards a younger audience. But I doubt he'll do that.
