The Little Mermaid Surfacing for a Live-Action Film
The film will be the first English-language live-action adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, which has been adapted numerous times for both the stage and screen, most notably with Disney's 1989 animated The Little Mermaid film.
Abi Morgan (Brick Lane) wrote the script and it wasn't quite clear if Wright was developing the film to direct himself, or if he would only produce the film.
No production schedule was released but we'll be sure to keep you posted on any new developments surrounding this live-action The Little Mermaid project as soon as we have more information.

yeh i randomly thought about this the other day, thought it would be cool for disney to make them epic films, not kid movies, because you could make movies like beauty and the beast etc. quite interesting.

Name some smokin' hot red heads who would be perfect for this. I think it should be a natural red head, but there are some women who would probably look amazing AS red heads. Let's play, shall we?
