You can relive this 1987 Best Picture in DVD and high-def this November. The Last Emperor will be released by The Criterion Collection on DVD and, for the first time, on Blu-Ray on November 18. Recreating Qing-dynasty China with astonishing detail and unparalleled craftsmanship by cinematographer Vittorio Storaro and production designer Ferdinando Scarfiotti, The Last Emperor is also an intimate character study of one man reconciling personal responsibility and political legacy.
