Really I'm not concerned with the movie being in the same order as Book 1 (hell---they can meet Jet [if he's in the movie at all] at the end of the movie), I'm more concerned about Sokka being funny. Or if Appa is adorable. Or if there's chemistry between Aang and Katara.

We'll let you know if your doubts are warranted or not come July 2nd.
I for one think this will do for Night's career as LOTR did for Jackson's.

I never said it was like rebooting. What i meant is, the idea of turning this into a movie is as stupid as the idea to reboot Spider-Man. I am not comparing the movies at all. And maybe this movie would look good if they had better actors and a better director. And I am definatly not a hater, I really do hope this movie can pull it off, I just seriously doubt it.

Can't be any worse than the acting in the Inception trailer.
If it wasn't a Nolan movie, I'd pass it up :P

I have to admit..the posters look really good, however, I dont know if I will be able to say the same for the movie. The trailer has some bad acting in it. I will put this in the we'll see category!

Nothing like rebooting. If this is your idea of a reboot, then there is no original story to be told for you. That's like saying the Ten Commandments was a reboot of the bible... Serenity was a reboot of Firefly... or Showgirls was a reboot of... oh wait! This is a story that's been out there on tv only (and books for the fans) and has a solid fan base. A stroy that I thought would be impossible to put to screen. I'll even go as far to say I was dreading this coming out with M. Night (just not a big fan) attached to it, but he's sold me by the trailers they've put out, and it looks freakin' sick. If the movie ends up sucking, they better pay their marketing team triple what they got... cause I don't see it by the looks of those trailers. --- Please don't respond with a negative comment, it would be like rebooting!

Geesh. About time the haters showed up! :P

How on earth is this like rebooting spider-man? Lame comparison.

This is gonna be super-gay. I liked the T.V. show, but stopped watching it after season 2, couldnt find time anymore. But the characters look stupid and it's gonna be too strongly aimed at 10 year olds. and the only good movie he had was Signs. this is just as stupid as rebooting Spider-man.

i agree, it will be like new moon. but that first weekend shall be pretty interesting. but after that it will go to airbender with predators in second or so

I'll throw it out there again... Twilight will do a quick two week burn (market is over saturated and 4th/5th movie is the one the Twi-hards are waiting for) and Airbender stays with second/third time viewers (even past the Twi-hards), word-of-mouth, and summer family crowds. This is the sleeper... if not, what else? Realistically, this summer doesn't have any ONE, big, known, movie awaiting anticipated release. Iron Man 2 is already out.

Such a short-sighted movie troll you are, Celluloid.
And you have been wrong before . . . MANY times before :P
You obviously don't know that this isn't an original MNS story, or did you?
One or two bad films does not make you a terrible director FOREVER!
We should have abandoned hope for Cameron's skills after Piranha 2, by your logic ;)

shut up! Shyamalan is a misunderstood genius. EVERY film he has made is among my favorites and the only reason I'll watch a film based on a Nickelodeon cartoon is because HE is directing it

After M. Night Shyamalan's last 2008's crap fest "The Happening" ... Any films with the name M. Night Shyamalan attached I will skip ...

Every film by M. Night Shyamalan's has been a dud!!!

Okay, I'm gonna put my money on this being the sleeper hit of the summer. I might be eating my words later, and I'm not a huge fan of M. Night S's previous movie lineup, but this thing is starting to look sick... and the momentum/word-of-mouth of this movie is starting to get huge.
