The Kite Runner Flies Up to DVD HD DVD on March 25th

Now you can fly some very powerful kites on DVD and HD DVD. The Kite Runner will be released in both DVD and HD DVD formats on March 25. The standard version will be priced at $27.98, but pricing for the HD DVD version was not available. The film, based off the critically-acclaimed book by Khaled Hosseini, stars Khalid Abdalla and Ali Dinesh.

The Kite Runner

Based on Khaled Hosseini's best-selling novel about Amir, a well-to-do Pashtun boy from Afghanistan, who is still haunted by the guilt of betraying his childhood friend Hassan, son of a family servant. Having lived in California for a number of years, Amir returns home to Afghanistan to help Hassan, when his son gets into trouble.

The Kite Runner was released December 14th, 2007 and stars Khalid Abdalla, Atossa Leoni, Shaun Toub, Sayed Jafar Masihullah Gharibzada, Zekeria Ebrahimi, Ahmad Khan Mahmoodzada, Mir Mahmood Shah Hashimi, Homayoun Ershadi. The film is directed by Marc Forster.

I saw the film in theaters! WOW! Damn good film! The director Marc Forster (Who is currently directing "Bond 22".), really knew how to take the viewer to the dark rivers of your heart.

I really wish director Marc Forster, & his film "The Kite Runner" had gotton more recognition this awards season.

What is interesting is that Marc Forster also directed:
"Monster's Ball" & "Finding Neverland"!
