i wish this wasn't really happening. i mean jay leno was the worst talk show host in the history of talk show hosts. give it up leno, your ship has sailed. it left in the early 1990's. let's start a petition for NBC to not let leno come back. i don't know anyone who even likes that no talent hack! the only thing funny on his 'tonight show' was his 'jay walking' or the 'headline' bits, which have nothing to do with jay leno at all. finally a deserving person is the host of the tonight show and the tonight show feels classy like it used to. conan is wonderful at everything. i agree with the poster before me though, jimmy fallon isn't funny! his 'late night' is lame.

Agreed CBF, Jimmy Fallon isn't funny at all, he's like Andy Kaufman doing the whole "milk & cookies" stint at the end of his major show at Carnegie Hall. More of the "let's get together for a heartwarming moment" type of thing in late night TV. That'll just give more power to Jay Leno, who was better than Conan who requires more props and outdoor stints to be funny, while Jay can keep it rolling for the first half of "Tonight," though seeing as there's not that big of a difference between these late night talk show formats, then Jay could supercede Conan in popularity come 9/14.

What, Conan thought he was gonna have a few days off and then rob him of future guests by sneaking in underneath him in his first week. Wow, not till September, huh? I was hoping Jay would have done a show like his Internet gig, Jay's Garage. Well this just gives Cone-bone time to settle in as the new Tonight Show host. More power to him, NBC made a right move selecting such a "rising personality" as Leno's successor. I look forward to laughing my ass off and changing the channel when Jimmy Fallon comes on.

Probably won't be too different than the tonight show, given that it's essentially just a talk show with a guest and band with singers at the end.
