Iron Man 2 Trailer
Now that Tony Stark has gone public with his alter-ego Iron Man, there's no telling what evil forces will come forward to battle the invincible super hero. Directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey Jr., along with Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling, and John Slattery, Iron Man 2 will land in theaters on May 7th, 2010.
Iron Man 2 was released May 7th, 2010 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sam Rockwell, Mickey Rourke, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg. The film is directed by Jon Favreau.

Masta, it was not that I know of. If you are referring to The Dark Knight Returns, the two were very different and there is no other comic I've read that is close to it. Notify me if you find one.

I'm marking you as spam because after that post it seriously shows nothing good will come from your virtual mouth. This isn't one of the times where "to each their own". You are a f*cking anomaly then. I mean to think TDK sucked was acceptable (some of my own fiends thought so of all people) but then to say Iron Man was awesome and that the 2nd will beat TDK, after you already stated it sucked? That shows:
1) You have terrible taste if I am not mistaken.
2)If TDK was so bad then of course IM2 would beat it. So your actually not giving IM much credit.
3)You're a hard core action guy who thinks a great performance is along the lines of Ben Stiller in Tropic Thunder, Bruce in Die Hard or any another balls out, guys movie with okay acting by guys with big names.
Sigh... It's a pitty people compare TDK to Iron Man in that sense when they are in different categories and each serving their own characters mold. And then some of us have to sadly continue the comparing to defend something we don't like or don't agree with. I mean hell, someone could probably come on here and verbally/virtually assault my ass for saying stuff like I've just said. Who knows. They can call me a TDK fanatic or still stuck on it, or still have a hard on for the Joker or Chris Nolans bitch etc. So if you retaliate at least do so with info and a cause or it will be damn near pointless.
But on my defense, Iron Man almost perfectly not quite but almost fit Tony Stark's comic character perfectly on screen. Whereas The Dark Knight got out of not only Batmans element, but the majority of comic book based movies and reshaped it into something different, so much so, they even left the title characters name out of it (Batman, because TDK is just a nick name). So if thats not proof then I am not sure what is.

ok Black Rain its obvious you don't know sh*t about great films and actors, for you to say The Dark Knight was a long, drawn-out, overrated piece of crap just proves my point. Your going with Iron Man a playboy billionaire who simply buys sh*t and stores it and then just sleeps with random bitches and uses a machine battle suite to do sh*t with. A character who basically has no fighting skills and relies on a machine to save his ass. And your judging this also on a trailer, ok then. Then you have The Dark Knight same thing a billionaire but someone who actually shows vulnerability and his strength is his whits and determination among many other skills. I bet if you put these to together in any sense Batman would kick the sh*t out of your Iron Man any day of the week, And to say Heath Ledger wasn't even that great of an actor is just insane. It just goes to show you haven't seen any of his other films. So your pretty much saying the film The Dark Knight made its money because of his death and it had nothing to do with the brilliant story of the film the incredible acting by everyone involved Especially Heath Ledger by taking a character done once before and making him something no one expected, he took the character we all saw in the comics and finally brought him out in the dark gritty mind f*cking way we always wanted to see him. And the amazing directing By CN. And the fact you had one character set out on proving how people can be bent and change into something they never thought possible. Its nice to see that im not 100% alone on this. I'll tell you what Black Rain stick to your average film with a few good shots of action and kooky sense of humor and leave Great Masterpiece's like The Dark Knight and other's to come to be judge by people who actually can see artwork and great story telling in front of them. Iron man 2 better than Dark Knight? Are u serious? U saw a 2 minute trailer, and ure gonna put ure virtual reputation out there like that?... TDK was one of the best reviewed, highest grossing, well acted, perfectly directed flicks of all time. That's not debatable... The first iron man wasnt even that great. If it wasnt for Downey, that movie would have went the route of the 1st hulk.
As for this trailer, I was down up until I saw the war machine footage. I started having flashbacks of Neo flying thru the clouds in Matrix reloaded. This movie will make money, but the critics will prolly destroy it. Good luck to favreau, rourke, and downey tho.

I'm thinking Iron Man 2 movie will be better than The Dark Knight. Personally, I think The Dark Knight was a long, drawn-out, overrated piece of crap. Iron Man on the other hand, was long but it was purely action and smart-ass comedy. and the main reason The Dark Knight did so well was because of Ledger's death. He wasn't even a great actor. His only other good movie was Brokeback Mountain.

I get people are entitled to their opinion but i have to agree with SupermanEmpire about the comment made by THE SCREENWRITER, The Dark knight is something that may 1 day be beaten by numbers as when it comes to money making, but in story and acting it will be untouchable and unbeatable in my opinion for a very long time, The Iron man universe gives a sci fi world to drift into with lots of action that really doesn't require alot of story, But the Batman universe gives both great action and a great story. Just a opinion/statement of mine. Never the less i am looking forward to this film. But i dont think it will top The Dark Knight in anyway, money,acting,story telling, drama. If it does i would be very impressed.

Howard was the paid the most for #1, yeah I couldn't believe it either, and Favreau didn't really like working with him, supposedly. The plot of this one's looking to be good as they're looking to incorporate a few parts of "Demon In A Bottle." Or at least begin the bridge to it.

Original Iron Man...Awesome flick. Screenwriter, to say the film was better than TDK...I guess everyone's entitled to their opinion...but Jesus dude, thats a strong statement. Iron Man 2 looks good, love what they did with Rourke as Whiplash, still hate the substitution of Howard for Cheadle...still when his War Machine mask is down, who the f*ck cares anyway ; ) Way to go Fav!

Both TDK and IM2 will undoubtedly represent their characters and universes in the most respectable way imaginable. Two completely different movies that aim for the same level of appeal. When IM2 is released, you shouldn't have to compare it to The Dark Knight unless you're making a "Favorite Comic Book Movie" list. It all comes down to which character you like better because, as I said, both films will represent their respective character in the best way possible. I think people only compare everything to The Dark Knight because it was celebrated at the Oscars. It branched away from the comic book genre and became a true film in its own right. I doubt IM2 will be up for any Oscars besides special effects despite how good Downey's performance is(although he was nominated for Tropic Thunder, so ya never know), but that doesn't mean it won't be a great movie...it just means it won't be Oscar material in the Academy's eyes.
